Stations of the Cross

I think my major artistic project for the year is going to be a set of Stations for the church. We need some here, but do not have the money to buy a decent set. So being the artist I am, I am going to make a set and donate them to the church. The key will be to make something traditional that compliments the design of the church. The interior is very austere and Benedictine.

Great idea since you're an artist yourself! That's what many churches (including mine) did back in the old days. I've seen your art, and it's quite beautiful.....

Thank you, my friend! I'll post pictures of them when I start them. I did begin a series of the Stations in oil while living in Florida, but only got as far as the first station. Maybe I'll finish those someday.

A Tale of Two Cathedrals

My wife and I just returned from vacation. While away, we got to visit the Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Baltimore, which had recently undergone a huge renovation. The last time I was there was to see the famous "Timla Relic" a few years ago.
